I’m not a believer in the Bible or religion, but the whole white black debate is dumb. People act like being a different race means you’re a different species than the other races or something… jeez! If a black wrote the Bible, they started the oppression of women starting with Eve or vice versa, do you really want to be known for this? Not me

This “author” can’t or won’t write an original thought. He clearly is on the inside of the political elite or wants to be. He has no original thoughts. He more of the problem than a solution. Those who write about history should do that, nothing more. The reader should decide. But when an author skews history towards a predetermined conclusion the freedom of choice has been removed for the reader. This is an echo chamber.

All the negative about Nixon and his presidency is such low hanging fruit. As if everything he did was illegal, criminal and plain horrible. Such surface level stereotypes miss the mark. Nixon had many consequential decisions that were excellent. His foreign policy is still looked upon favorably. Although Kissinger takes some of that spotlight from him. Nixon is not a one dimensional character. The fact no Washington “intellectual” has the balls to say it is sad.

I cringe when I hear the often recycled phrase about “speak truth to power”. It’s so overused, many times wrongly applied. I assume people think it makes them (faux) intelectual. The world is funny, you can know the time frame by use of phrases and/or speech idioms. Those who mentally catalogue such phrases sound “modern” yet unoriginal.

Landscapes R Us! It was nice to hear about Dr. Moseley's background. And as a Mac geography alum I appreciated and related strongly to all those characteristics that Bill enumerated. I wove geography into my environmental studies program at Mac and came back as an alum to finish a proper departmental major. I gravitated to geography in part, I guess, because I liked learning many different things and wanted a course of study where I could spread out rather than narrow down my interests. Geography gives people a way to relate disparate subjects in useful and fascinating ways. Michigan has some strong geography in their state system - or at least I noticed they did when I taught at CMU in 2005-06. Great interview!

Jessica Valenti now writes substack ABORTION, EVERY DAY. Listen to her describe that decision to the brilliant and grateful women of Strict Scrutiny Podcast. Those with the least are always most at the mercy of the law - that has always included a lot of folks who are poor and /or black and/or old and/or female. Dobbs has cast millions of women into the ranks of the powerless and desperate. Jessica is reporting about and for all women and girls - the horrific consequences from state to state. Because women and girls are suffering. Every. Single. Day.

Actualy i thought about the grandfather paradox. The quwntumnohisics explanation that when you go back to past univwrse splits and you can go back but never to the same universe you came from so you actsuly you end up in. An alternwtive univwrse thats fine, but then you have to accept mutliple universe theory whcih can be true but maybe not. The easiest quantum theory explanation i would hwve is thet if you go bsck and prevent your granparents from meeting, so they never hwvr your pareents who never have you, but how did you thrn go bsck to ptevent it is thwt both things happen snd yiu b3come superpositioned in a sense. You would go back to the same universer (hence no need for another universe) and you would stop grandparents from mweting and doing so you would never be born so there at thst momebt you woule prevent the meeting you woud get superpositioned with thwt act. You would emidiately dissapear in one outcome, but becise you not dissapeared you woule also never come bsck to prevebt it so your grandparentns would then meet and your parebts would therefore meet and hsvr you. So this would be back to original stafe. So you would end up being supwrpositioned like the Schrodinger's cat at the same time existing in one out one and not existing in another, both outcome equality posible each 50% probalility. And what the specific reality would be woule all depend and colapse into when measured. So one time you would exists. Next time when measuring you would not exist. Preaty much what quantum theority already says is goinf on on microcosmos on the level of elecgrons or light which both behave as a wave and a particle depending on if you measure ir (look at it) or not. So it is much simpler explanation because you dont need many words theory. Both states simply coexista wgere you are and you are not and it all depends on when someone looks to determine if you are there or not with 50% chance you do not exists and 50 percent chsnce yoi exists. Now we can expand this idea on not just yourself but on sll things you would chsnge inevodably when arrivijg in the past. From dislocating air molecules whixu else would not be and so on to other choices. This elements to change, most of then witkut even knowing them, would become superpositioned between original state where you never arriveed and state where you influenced them with your presence. This would cause a ripple effect to all other thinks thst those things that influence becsuse you influenced them, or not when you never came. Again, all things would superposition. It would almost looks like the clear nature you can see and all enviroment would turn fuzzy around you with you being the center of it. But it might not even b3 visible to you once the process of time travel is done. I think therefore that sending someon3 through a time machinr wouldnfeel like thwt whrre the enviroment surounding one would become all fuzzy for a while until the process is completed for the person and the person finds hkmslef in one of the superpositioned states. Theb the universe or all suroundin would agsin appear solid and sharp and clear and nonlonger fuzzy fog like
